1981, I was appointed as judge to the County Court at Law II, in Collin County, Texas and served from 1981 to 1987, after which I again returned to private practice. The County Court at Law II is a court of general jurisdiction: exclusive jurisdiction in probate cases. Criminal and Civil jurisdiction shared with district courts. Its jurisdiction includes Collin county and the northern quarter of Dallas County.
