Tour Cancellation Policy 


We realize that life happens, plans change, work gets in the way, people get sick or injured.  Running tours in foreign countries has some challenges.  We need to secure, book and pay for hotels and some tours to insure that we have rooms available and tour slots for our guests when we arrive.  We do our best to maintain flexibility with the hotels and tours we use but some rooms and tours can't be cancelled and we incur fees when people cancel at the last minute.  If you do have to cancel a tour, the more notice you give, the less you are likely to incur in fees that we can't cancel. 

Our cancellation policy is as follows:  Some hotels we use require advanced purchase to secure the rooms. If you cancel a tour or can't get the flights to work, let us know as soon as you can.  If flights don't work and you let us know at least 30 days before the tour, there is no charge.

30 days but more than 7 days before the tour:  We will only charge you for any hotels we booked that can't be cancelled.  We try our best to cancel the rooms but any room (or activity) that we can't cancel will be charged to the tour guest who cancelled.  Keep in mind that last minute cancellations will incur fees to us and we pass those fees on to you. 

Less than 7 days before a tour: You will incur a charge of 50% of the tour fee, to cover the cost of hotels that can't be cancelled, pre-booked activities that must be prepaid, the time needed to attempt to cancel prepaid rooms and the opportunity cost of a lost seat on our tour for someone else.  We hope you understand.
