The tour from Panama to Costa Rica is now open for sign ups.  If you want to join us after reading the details below, please submit your tour application via the link toward the end of this email.  You must have a passport to travel outside the US and it can’t be expiring within 6 months of the arrival date per Costa Rican rules. You need no immunizations for either Costa Rica or Panama and no Covid test to enter Costa Rica, or Panama and the return to the US will no longer require a Covid19 test, so Covid19 is CURRENTLY not an issue.  But things can change....

For those who are on this tour, you’ll need to book a flight into Panama City, Panama )PTY airport code) to arrive anytime on January 14, 2023 (or earlier) The only event that day is a cocktail party at the hotel that night. Dinner is not included on that first night but the hotel has a nice restaurant and there are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance nearby. If you arrive early on the 14th, there’s plenty to see within walking distance of the hotel we stay at in Panama City.  On the following morning, we will start out bright and early, with a real estate tour, a tour of Casco Viejo and a visit to the Panama Canal, Miraflores Locks and museum.

You’ll need a flight departing San Jose, Costa Rica (airport code SJO) on (or after) the 23rd of January, 2023 (or later).  Drive time from downtown to the international airport SJO is roughly 20 minutes. You need to check-in for your flight 2 hours before departure, so based on your plan, you’ll need to watch the time. I provide airport transportation for your departure trip to the airport, if you plan to depart on the 23rd.

The trip is $3,400 per couple or $2,200 for a single in a private room. We will provide a mailing address for you to mail payment or can take payment via credit card but we add a 3% processing fee.  Nearly all meals are included, but not beer, wine, or liquor. All lodging, transportation (other than airfare), and activity/entrance fees are included in the tour fee. We have the same driver each day, who takes great care of us, so if you like the tour, please tip the driver. He’s great and works hard on our behalf. I cover all other gratuities, other than any tip you want to leave your housekeeper in the rooms in the various hotels we stay at, and our driver.

You can see a sample itinerary for the tour here as well as sign up for the tour again if you are still interested, given the additional requirements listed above Panama Costa Rica tour

The tour includes all entry fees, all transportation within Costa Rica and Panama, all lodging, nearly all meals except a few on your own and on the day of your arrival at the Hotel Martino, where meals are on your own. Otherwise nearly all meals are included, all national park fees and even airport transfers.  For other tour dates, use this for a reference.  Hotel choices may change based on availability since Covid19 has set some limits that we have to comply to.

These tours are mostly about tourism but we do see a smattering of real estate offerings in some of the more sought out destinations in both Costa Rica and Panama.  Keep in mind however that the majority of the tour is simply tourism, with a few quick real estate viewings while in Jaco and Ojochal, Costa Rica and Panama City, Panama.  We can add or subtract real estate touring based on interest by the group.
